PIEBALD: any animal or flower that has two or more prominent colors.
PIEBALD MAN: the nick-name of C.S. Lewis’ protagonist in Perelandra to symbolize his internal battle between doing things his own way or trusting in God--which essentially describes most of my issues in my PIEBALD LIFE.
What I Write About
I write about the infinite number of intersections between every day life and the good news of the God who has come to get us.

Fall on Purpose
I think the only thing more spectacular than Chapel Hill in spring is Chapel Hill in the fall.
I wonder if fall is God's way of inviting us to consider that the deaths he calls us to can be beautiful.
I actually disagree there. Part of the liturgy of my year is wondering that very thing every fall, and then reaffirming my preference for spring in six months. But they are both spectacular!

I much prefer spring, but this is nicely poetic. :o)
